Let’s team up for climate action on Tuesday 3 November 2020!

Join us online for the C4S EU conference and award ceremony ‘Team up for climate action! Improving municipal energy management and adapting to climate change’, on Tuesday 3 November 2020.

In 2019, 31 local authorities in eight European countries took part in an energy-saving competition – in order to motivate building users to save energy at work or school, and to support implementation of Energy Management Systems. Their performance was rewarded across three different categories:

Category 1: Highest Energy Savings – Building level

Category 2: Success in implementing the Energy Management System – Municipal level

Category 3: Best Country – Country level

A total of 92 buildings took part in the competition. While the highest energy savings in buildings have already been announced, the results of Categories 2 and 3 are coming soon! We’re excited to find out who had the greatest success in implementing their Energy Management System, and  which country is up for the award of ‘Best Country’, having most successfully implemented the overall objectives of Compete4SECAP!

All winners will be announced at the final EU conference: ‘Team up for climate action! Improving municipal energy management and adapting to climate change’ to be held online on Tuesday 3 November 2020.

Join us for the results – and to hear about:

  • How to develop and implement an Energy Management System;

  • The do’s and don’ts of running a creative and inspiring energy-saving campaign;

  • How to better integrate action on climate mitigation with adapting to the effects of climate change, in the context of developing a Sustainable Energy and Climate Action Plan as supported by the Covenant of Mayors.

Representatives from cities in Croatia, Cyprus, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Latvia and Spain will share their experience on the benefits of transforming energy management practices.
